The Wild Network Field Trip

Over the last few years we have the privilige of meeting so many amazing people and organisations doing awesome work to rewild childhood.

We’re embarking on a tour around the UK to uncover more projects and find out more about how people are breaking down the barriers to Wild Time where they live.

These field trips will take us from coastal towns to city centres to meet local people and find out about grass-roots initiatives and ideas helping families get more Wild Time.

In each place we visit we’ll also be convening a campfire gathering, inviting people to come and share their experiences and ideas around these issues.

We’ll be coming back with our Field Notes – stories and inspiration to share with our network

We’re kicking it off in Brighton on the 23rd and 24th October.

The plan is then to head to the following places:

  • Cornwall
  • Leeds
  • Liverpool
  • Dagenham
  • Bristol

What you can do

If you can help with any of the following please get in touch at [email protected]

  • Help us find a location for our campfire gathering (key requirements: outside, somewhere communal, a backup option should it rain)
  • Let us know about any interesting people/projects we should hook up with while we’re there.
  • Come and have a drink and a chat with us.
  • It would be nice to find someone local who can tell a story or play a bit of music to join us round our campfire – suggestions welcome.
